Are You Part Of the 3% Or The 97%?

"When plans are laid in advance, it is surprising how often the circumstances fit in with them."~Sir William Osler

Have you created your Success Plan for your business and life? Really? Is it written down? Only 3% of all people have a plan that is written down. So, are you part of the 3% or part of the 97%?

It shouldn't be surprising how often the circumstances fit in with the plans you make (and write down). We create what we think about, so it only makes sense that when we have planned, the circumstances fit like they were meant to. A lot of people tell me that they don't have to write down their plans, because they have them in their heads. The problem with that is that sometimes you don't remember things. When you have your plan written down and in a place where you can see it, it reminds you of what you want as opposed to thinking about what you don't want, which is what most of us do.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said "To map out a course and follow it to some end requires courage." It does require courage because when you make a plan, you then become accountable to working on the plan. Most people are not willing to become accountable...even to their own goals and plans.  And that's why only 3% of all people write down their plans!

Do You Have A Success Plan?

Meant-To, Didn't-Do, Might-Have-Been

"Mr.Meant-To has a friend, his name is Didn't-Do. Have you met them? They live together in a house called Never-Win. And I am told that it is haunted by the Ghost of Might-Have-Been."~Marva Collins

Now, I'm sure that you don't fall into one of these descriptions, right? Oh really??? Hmmm. How many times do we tell people that we "meant to" do something, but didn't? How many times have we just "didn't do it?"

To me, they should live in the house of "Never Will" instead of "never win" although they won't win at anything either.

Here's our challenge...when we start using excuses and reasons why we didn't do something, we are not holding ourselves accountable, to ourselves, never mind the person who we told we would do it.

"You have reasons or results." That's it. Results or reasons, and reasons don't count. Am I saying that your results will always be what you want? No way, but you will have a result and you can change the result by doing it over better. You can't change a reason and make it better...

Oh, "what might have been." Don't stay stuck there. "It's never too late to be who you were meant to be." So start today, leave the reasons behind and become who you were meant to be. The world is waiting for you!

What Have You Committed To?

"How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow that I've committed to?"~Anthony Robbins

Great question! Does that change your thinking? What have you committed to for your future?

See, we often make these commitments to ourselves and then continue living life the old way, without changing how we live. "If you keep doing the same thing, you're going to get the same result," so something needs to change. What needs to change in order for you to create the tomorrow that you've committed to?

If you've committed to losing weight or eating healthy but don't change your habits, you've not made a commitment, you've made a wish. You can make all the wishes you want but the big genie in the sky won't make you skinnier or eat better without action from YOU!

Are you making commitments or wishes? Who's holding you accountable?

"How am I going to live today in order to create the tomorrow that I've committed to?"
