Develop Your Belief In Yourself!

"Remind yourself regularly that you are better than you think you are. Successful people are not superhuman. Success does not require a super-intellect. Nor is there anything mystical about success. And success isn't based on luck. Successful people are just ordinary folks who have developed belief in themselves and what they do. Never sell yourself short."~ David J. Schwartz

Too often we beat ourselves up or let other beat us down. STOP IT!! You need to be reminding yourself that you are better than you think you are. The next time you feel unworthy, think of all the things that you have to be grateful for...and that will change your thinking.

Successful people are just ordinary folks who have developed belief in themselves. Have you developed that belief in yourself? Why not? It's your choice to believe what you want to believe.  Believe that you are better than you think you are.  Believe in YOU!

Don't let your mind talk you down. When that voice tells you that you aren't worthy, tell it to be quiet. Here's a proven way to quiet that voice.  Simply say, "thanks for sharing, cancel!"  You are worthy, but you have to claim it. No one else can claim it for you!

Stop Creating Your Struggle

“Believe that you are the one who creates your success, that you are the one who creates your mediocrity, and that you are the one creating your struggle around money and success.”~ T. Harv Eker

I know that you believe that you create your success, but do you believe that you also create your mediocrity? Well guess what? Hate to break it to ya, but YOU DO! Too often we blame others, parents, teachers, spouses, the economy, when it is our responsibility, our choices, our decisions.

Don't give your power away by blaming others, because that is what you are doing. Take responsibility for you actions and create the life that you want. Your "personal brand" should be all yours, not someone elses.

You are in charge of EVERYTHING that happens in your life. EVERYTHING. Take back you power today, right now, this moment. You create your success, you create your mediocrity. It is your choice!

Great Results Come From Great Expectations

"Your expectations, opens or closes the doors of your supply. If you expect grand things, and work honestly for them, they will come to you. Your supply will correspond with your expectation." ~ Orison Swett Marden

How often do you think about your expectations? Too much, not enough, just right? Where do those expectations come from? Past history, other people, your mind? How do you know the expectation you hold is the right one?

According to Marden, your expectations hold the key to your success or failure. Do you believe that? Why or why not? I know that when I'm in a sales situation, that if I don't expect to make the sale, I never do. Wayne Gretzky said "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." I like to equate that to expectations. You miss 100% of the expectations that you don't have for yourself.

Winners expect to win. Losers hope to win. There's a huge difference in those two words, expect and hope. When I played basketball in college, we had a pretty good team.  Several times before games, players on the other team would come up to us and say "Hey, take it easy on us, ok?"  Now, were they expecting to win?  They had already lost in their minds!  Are you hoping to be successful or are you expecting to be successful? As always, the choice is yours and yours alone. Nobody can make it for you.

Start your day off with great expectations and watch them come true. Great expectations will equal great results.

Failure Is Harsh, But The Best Teacher

“Failure is a teacher – a harsh one, perhaps, but the best...  That's what I have to do when an idea backfires or a sales program fails.  You've got to put failure to work for you ... you can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it.  So go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can.  Because that's where you will find success.  On the far side of failure.”~Thomas J. Watson

Failure.  the word conjures up bad memories, times we were ridiculed, laughed at and shunned because we were wrong.  That's part of the "Harsh teacher" Watson is talking about.  I'm sure you've felt it and can remember it like it was yesterday.  Maybe it even was yesterday however you have to make that failure work for you!

We need to reframe that word, failure.  "A learning experience," "feedback," "course correction," "An opportunity to begin again more intelligently," "A chance to develop my sense of humor," "An opportunity to perfect my performance."  How do you reframe failure?

You can get discouraged by failure or you can learn from it.  Failure is hardly ever fatal.  Quitting is fatal and final.   Don't let a failure stop you from becoming who and what you want to become.  Watson also said that "If you want to succeed, fail faster."

Failure is GOOD!  Making mistakes lead to success!  Because on the far side of failure is where you will find success!

Failure Is Delay, Not Defeat!

"Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end." ~Denis Waitley

When did failure start being something to be avoided? As far back as I can remember, it was always something to be avoided as opposed to being something to view as experience and learned from. Most people view failure as a dead end rather than a temporary detour.  How do you see failure, as a dead end or as a roadblock?

The fastest way to success is THROUGH failure.  Thomas Watson, founder of IBM said "If you want to succeed, fail faster." What a great way to look at things! Failure is OK!!! In fact, the best way to deal with failure is to re-frame it as delay or a temporary detour or just as a learning experience.

Don't be afraid to fail. Henry Ford said "Failure allows you to begin again more intelligently." Nice, failure allows you to being again more intelligently! Start now. Fail your way to success.

Here are some other ways to view failure through different eyes:  (Tom Hopkins)
I never see failure as failure but only as a learning experience,
I never see failure as failure, only as an opportunity to practice my technique and perfect my performance,
I never see failure as failure but only as an opportunity to develop my sense of humor,
I never see failure as failure but only as the negative feedback to change course in my direction,
I never see failure as failure but only as the game I must play to win!

Are You Afraid To Go Too Far?

“We must never be afraid to go too far, for success lies just beyond.” ~Marcel Proust

Are you afraid to go too far? A lot of people are. They are not content where they are at but fear making a change that could bring them success. So they settle for what they have. Are you settling for what you have so that you can stay safe in your comfort zone? Success lies just beyond your comfort zone! Too many people in their comfort zone who don't want to be there stay there either out of fear or by settling and not taking a chance.

Max Du Pree said "In the end, it is important to remember that we cannot become what we need to be by remaining who we are." Wow, "We cannot become what we need to be by remaining who we are!" How powerful is that? Do you realize this? It's called GROWTH! And it takes us out of our comfort zone and allows us to become what we need to become.

T. S. Eliot said "Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."  Are you willing to see how far you can go or will you stay safe, where you are?

If you are serious about becoming successful you will need to do three things:
1) Not be afraid of going too far, and
2) Not remaining who you are. That is your challenge for today and from now on!!
3) Always Be Learning.  Join us this Friday and learn how to find out who your Ideal Clients are and how to find them.https://www.facebook.com/events/1655691841343576

Planting The Seed Of Success Or Failure

"Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another."~Napoleon Hill

I can always count on Hill for words of wisdom in dealing with others!  How many times has someone talked you out of doing something and later you regretted that decision?  How many times have you just blurted out something without thinking what you would plant in that other person's mind?

You have the power to plant a seed of success or a seed of failure.  Which do you choose?  I think most people would choose to plant seeds of success however they never think about it so it could go either way.  There's a think line between success and failure and what you say can move it from one side to the other.

Roy H. Williams said I’m going to give you three reasons why this is a dangerous idea and then I’m going to give you three reasons why it’s brilliant. If the brilliant parts outweigh the dangerous parts, then this could be an idea whose time has come.”  If you think about this before you speak, maybe more people will be willing to bring their ideas to you.

Think twice before you speak because you have the power to plant a seed.  Make it a good one!

A Slight Change In Your Routine

"A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine."~Og Mandino

Are you frittering away your precious hours? Really? Are you sure? I think most of us have gotten real good at frittering...What could you be doing RIGHT NOW to create the things you want in your life?

"You have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine." Do you realize that? You do have the ability to accomplish so much. But you might need to make a slight change. What could that change be? It will be different for everybody but you need to decide what it is...no one else will be able to tell you.

Jim Rohn said "Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day." What are your simple disciplines? Do you know what they are? If you don't, ask...otherwise you will be practicing the wrong ones and not getting what you want.

Stop frittering away your precious time. Figure out what that small change is and make it RIGHT AWAY! Decide what your simple disciplines are and start practicing them every day.

Living In The Past? There's No Future There

“People who live in the past generally are afraid to compete in the present. I’ve got my faults, but living in the past is not one of them. There’s no future in it.”~Sparky Anderson

Are you afraid of competing in the present? Are you living in your past? As Sparky said, "there's no future in it." The key is to always be present. Don't live in the past and don't spend a lot of time in the future, stay in the present.

Robert Collier said "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." That's the key, day in and day out. It doesn't say anything about yesterday or tomorrow, but day in and day out. Live for today, work for today, for today may be all you ever get. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is too far away.

Be present today. Stop living in the past and stop living in the future. Today is the only time you can live, so be present today. Repeat your disciplines day in and day out and at the end of the day, let it go, it's done, it's gone.

Stop Trying To Whistle A Symphony

"No one can whistle a symphony. It takes an orchestra to play it."~H. E. Luccock

Are you trying to create a symphony all by yourself? Being the lone entrepreneur, not needing anyone's help? Guess what? No one has ever made it on their own! We all need other people and we need their help.

Look at all successful people and you will see a whole team of other individuals that worked on the success of that one individual. Who is on your team? Who is working to make you a success? Why are they helping you? Why aren't others helping you?  Have you asked them for help??

This "New Economy" requires that we spend even more time on those relationships where we can help others succeed and they can help us succeed. Are you spending the time doing that? Why not? Are you doing what you have always done? How's that working for you?

Action:
Find those people who are working towards your success and let them know that you appreciate them and how important they are to you. I have a whole list of people and I'm sure that you do to.

Succeeding At Things That Don't Matter?

“Our greatest fear should not be failing, but it should be succeeding at things that don’t matter.”~Francis Chan

Why have we developed this sense of fear of failure? What has led us to thinking that failure is a bad thing? Most people have come to realize that success isn't possible without failure, but we make that failure label so painful that people will do just about anything to not fail. Including nothing at all...for fear of failure.

Thomas Watson, founder of IBM said that "If you want to succeed faster, fail faster."
Failure and success are two sides of the same coin and you can't have one without the other.  In fact, you cannot succeed without failing!  Ask all those bands that were an 20 years "Overnight Success."

Our greatest fear should instead be succeeding at something that doesn't matter! I know a lot of people who are great at things that don't matter. What's the point? Are you succeeding at something that doesn't matter? What makes it matter for you? Maybe someone else has decided that it needs to matter to you, but does it?

Does what you do matter?? (Other than providing you with a paycheck) Does it really matter? I think too often we get stuck doing things just because...Just because it pays the bills...just because it's easy to do...just because it's what I've always done...

Decide what matters to you and do that!!

Dissatisfied With Your Present Status?

"Are you disappointed, discouraged and discontented with your present level of success? Are you secretly dissatisfied with your present status? Then start dreaming! It’s possible! You can become the person you have always wanted to be!"~ Robert H. Schuller

Are you disappointed, discouraged and discontented with your present level of success? Thoreau said that "most men live lives of quiet desperation." Is that you? Are you disappointed and discouraged by your present level of success? Your present level of success is the direct result of the work that you put  in the past. So if you are discouraged, there's an easy solution to that...Do more of the right things!

You can become the person that you want to be and you can start right NOW!!! Because, "it's never too late to be who you might have been." All it takes is your decision to start now and do things better and differently than you did them before.

If you are unsure of what the right things to do are, ask someone who has already done what you are trying to do. No one can do it all by themselves, we all need friends, mentors and coaches. A Mentor is "someone who makes you do the things that you don't want to do and makes you see things you don't want to see, to help you become all that you can be."

To Dream Anything

"To dream anything that you want to dream, that is the beauty of the human mind. To do anything that you want to do, that is the strength of the human will. To trust yourself, to test your limits, that is the courage to succeed."~Bernard Edmonds

What are your DREAMS? Are you following after them or are you stuck? Most people have great dreams...but aren't doing anything to get them other than wish for them. Why? What story are you telling yourself that is keeping you from making it happen?

How strong is your WILL? Can you do ANYTHING you want to? Really? Why not? What is the story that you are telling yourself as to why you can't? The strength of your will will determine whether or not you achieve your dreams.

Do you TRUST yourself? Test your limits? The fear isn't that we are inadequate, the fear is that we are powerful beyond measure and will not know how to deal with it. Most people have just enough trust in themselves that they know that they aren't where they ought to be, but not enough TRUST to step out of where they are and become who they were meant to be.

Do you have enough TRUST to create marketing that attracts businesses that need what you have?  Join us Friday at the "Are You Tired of Chasing Customers?"  https://www.facebook.com/events/1557788821169718

Are You Planting Seeds Today?

"Do not measure success by today's harvest. Measure success by the seeds you plant today." ~Robert Louis Stevenson

Are you measuring your success by today's harvest? Why? Is it that need for instant gratification? What is driving that measurement of today? Stevenson says to measure your success by the seeds that you plant today. There used to be something called delayed gratification...and it was even better than instant gratification.

Are you planting seeds for tomorrow, or are you only concerned with today? That's another challenge for our microwave society. We don't even want to think long-term, only how can I get it now??

It's been said that we can learn from watching nature. Well, in nature, there is always a gestation period, for plants, trees, animals and even humans. Live in the present but Stop living for the right now. Start planning for the future. "I am planning for the future," you say. Really, I ask? Really??

Are There Fences Around Your Dreams?

"No Limit Thinking...As children we believe that we might become president, a great artist or a great explorer. But as adults we begin to put fences around those dreams."~Tom Asacker

No limit thinking...what did you want to be when you grew up? Why didn't you do it? Why? Did you or someone else put a fence around those dreams and tell you that you couldn't do that?

Stop putting fences around who you want to become. Become who you were meant to become! Tony Robbins asks a great question, “Who will you have to become to achieve all you want?” Have you ever thought about that? Really?

Success isn't determined by the size of one's brain or IQ, rather success is determined by the size of one's thinking!  How big is your thinking or is it just about as big and the area fenced in for you?

To achieve all that you want, who will you have to become? Are you ready to become that person or are you content to stay small, not bringing to the world your uniqueness.

Are You Investing In Your Future?

"Every 15 minutes invested in your future is a deposit that will grow and compound over time. It may not seem like a big deal now -- whether you spend that time surfing the Internet or updating your Rolodex -- but in the long run, it will make all the difference in the world." ~Michael Masterson

We are all busy. We all have multiple responsibilities. But success is a result of your behavior. And the way you act when you have spare time is a crucial part of it.

Are you even investing 15 minutes a day in your future? Why not? It will grow and compound over time, but you have to start somewhere. Start with 15 minutes, start with 10 minutes, even 5 minutes but start investing something in your future.

Here's an idea that will double your business in 6 months.  Spend 30 minutes every day working ON your business before you work IN your business.  Spend the time thinking, seeing what works, what doesn't, what could work, what won't work.  Every day THINK about your business and how you can improve it, change it and grow it.

The hardest part is simply starting, so just do it. What are you waiting for? Your future to come to you? It's not going to happen. Create your future. You can start with 5 minutes a day.

Here's another idea that will double your business in 6 months.  Join us TODAY at the "Goal GETTING & Goal Setting" workshop.  There are still a few seats left and you will learn how to GET your goals!

Your Success Will Be Based On Your Expectations

“Our limitations and success will be based, most often, on your own expectations for ourselves. What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon.”~Denis Waitley

What are your expectations? Or better yet, what are your intentions? Have you ever thought of them seriously or are they something you think about in passing? Unfortunately, most people just think about them in passing. What would happen to your life and business if you always had great expectations and intentions?

What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon.” And the universe bring about. We've all heard about "what we resist, persists." And we also know that what we focus on we bring about. So, wouldn't it make sense to start having great expectations and intentions? People say, 'don't have high expectations, you will only be disappointed.' So what of that? Have you never dealt with disappointment before? It's not fun, but it's part of life.

Don't let your limitations be part of your expectations! You can create your expectations without limitations. Do it NOW!  You can also join us Thursday December 18th at the workshop "Goal Getting & Goal Setting; Create Your Success Plan For 2015."  You will learn how to Create Your Success and stop your limitations.

What's Holding You Back?

"Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and your reality. If you can dream it you can make it happen."~Belva Davis

Are you afraid of that space? Is that what is holding you back? Afraid of the space between your dreams and your reality?  That space is called "the gap."

There's nothing to fear in "the gap."  Anything that you have thought about being able to cross "the gap" or not, it's all just a story that you are telling yourself.  Are you telling yourself the story of your success or are you telling yourself a losing story?  Most people keep reliving all the losses and never create a story about their successes.

If you are dreaming it, you've already been given everything that you need to make it happen. Did you realize that or are you still focused on "the gap?" Do you believe that you can create your reality? Really?

Do you believe in your dream or is it just a fantasy, a place where you can go and wish? Too many people who say they have dreams, just have wishes, never working on them, just wishing for them.  For these people, the bone that gets the most work is the "wishbone."  If you have a dream and need some help in getting it from the invisible to the visible, from the wish stage to the goal stage, send me a message and we can talk about how to do that.

What is your dream? Start focusing on it now and take the first step toward attaining it. Without taking the steps to attain it, it's just a wish.

Are you dreaming or are you wishing?

"Don't be afraid of the space between your dreams and your reality. If you can dream it you can make it happen."
