"Each problem has hidden in it an opportunity so powerful that it literally dwarfs the problem. The greatest success stories were created by people who recognized a problem and turned it into an opportunity."~Joseph Sugarman
This is so true...the problem is that we focus so much on the problem that we can't see the opportunity. A long time ago, one of my first mentors told me, "don't come to me with a problem unless you also have a solution." That's always stayed with me. Do you think like that? What would happen to you if you did?
Why do people do business with you? Because you solve a problem for them, that's why. We are all looking for our problems to be solved for us. Those who can solve the problems are rewarded, not those who can't or only see the problem. Are you solving problems for your prospects and clients? I hope so...otherwise your business is dying.Stop focusing on the problem and start focusing on solutions! Analyze the problem but then search for opportunities. Don't stay focused on the problem, only the opportunities.
Know. Be Known. Make A Difference!

"There is only one of you for all time. Fearlessly be yourself."~Anthony RappAre you fearlessly being yourself, or are you playing someone else on this stage that is called life? Who are you playing and why? Is it because it's what your parents told you, or what a teacher told you, or maybe what a friend suggested you become? If you are not being yourself, who are you being?"Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you." Here's the problem when you play small. The world never see what you were supposed to bring to it. Why? Because ONLY YOU can bring your unique gift to the world because ONLY YOU have it!When do you get the feeling that you are the person who you always wanted to be? At certain times? Once in a long while? Never?Action:Fearlessly be yourself! And if you don't know who that is, find out. Spend some time contemplating what drives you and what makes you feel the most authentic. "Perceptual blindness sheds much light on why we miss obvious solutions. By focusing on one thing (a problem), we miss something else (a solution)."~Michael McMillan
Another success killer is focusing on the problem rather than the solution. It is a learned behavior to focus on the solution, because our brain just wants to focus on the problem. Yes, you need to look at the problem, but only long enough to start to come up with solutions to that problem. Once you have a few solutions to work on, focus on the solutions!
What we focus on expands and unless we work on metacognition (thinking about what we think about) our focus will not be strong enough to stay on the solutions...our minds will drift back to the problem.
A good thing to work on is when you bring problems up at your work, at home or wherever, in addition to talking about the problem. bring a solution to the discussion. By bringing a solution to the problem, it allows the mind to search for other solutions instead of going back to the problem.
