"You can view (running a business) as not just a job but as an honorable livelihood where you can, by using your imagination, develop the human spirit."~ Anita Roddick
How do you view what you do for business? Is it just a way to "pay the bills?" Is it just something that you fell into and stayed there? Is it what someone told you that you would be good at so you did it? Or do you view it as a way to "develop the human spirit?" What a great way to look at the work that you do. Keep on developing the human spirit!
Sir Richard Steele said "People spend their lives in the service of their passions instead of employing their passions in the service of their lives." Think about that...spending your life in service to your passions as opposed to employing those passion in the service of others. In any business, if you are not serving your customers, they won't be staying around. And your business won't be around long either.
What is your passion and how do you use it in the service of others?

What Makes You U-nique?
"Discover your Uniqueness and exploit it in the service of others, and you are guaranteed success, happiness and prosperity."~Larry Winget
What makes you U-nique? Not just different, but U-nique?
Think about it...
It's easy to be different. It's a whole other thing being U-nique. What makes you U-nique? Why are people attracted to you? Is it the way you think? Is it the way you talk? Is it the way you look? Why?
"You are Unique, just like everybody else." There is no one else like you, hasn't ever been, won't ever be. You are a U-nique creation! What makes you U-nique?
When you discover your U-niqueness and exploit it in the service of others, success is yours. How are you exploiting your U-niqueness in the service of others? Or are you just going through life without ever knowing your U-niqueness?
This may require some actual thinking...

Unwilling Service
"Unwilling service earns no thanks."
Are you providing 'unwilling service'? Why, because you get a paycheck? Stop providing unwilling service to anyone. It does them no good and it really doesn't do you any good.
If you don't have your clients bests interests at heart, you're providing unwilling service. Are you providing them with something they don't need anymore? Is there something else that you could provide them with?
Make sure that the service you provide to your clients is what they want. How do you know what they want? ASK THEM! Yes, ask them if what you are providing is doing the job for you. They will tell you and who knows, you might even get a testimonial or two out of it. That way, you don't need to tell other people how great you are, you just let the testimonials do that for you.
