Are You The Master Of Your Destiny?

"You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be."~Napoleon Hill

Yes, YOU!  You are the master of your destiny. You can direct and control your environment.  You can make your life what you want it to be!

I can hear you grumbling "but David, I've got these bills, I got these obligations, I need this or that, I have to do these things and I don't have any control over them."  WRONG!  You are right now where you are because of the choices that you have made.  Your choices, no one else's, yours.

Have you ever said anything like this?  Someday, I'm going to...write that book I've been talking about.  Pay off the debt I've accumulated.  Start the business I've been thinking about.  Lose the weight I've been complaining about.  Live the life I've dreamed about.  Guess what?  SOMEDAY NEVER COMES!

As the master of your destiny stop saying someday and start putting dates on those ideas!  I'm going to write that book starting TODAY!  I'm going to start to pay off that debt TODAY!  If you want to live the life you dreamed about stop saying it will happen someday and start living it TODAY!

Don't Dabble, Direct Your Focus

“One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.”~Tony Robbins

Are you dabbling your way through life? Have you never decided to master anything in life? That's why you aren't achieving as much as you want, because you haven't put the power of focus to work for you. It is said that it takes 5000 hours to become competent at something and 10,000 hours to become a master. How are you coming along towards those 5000 hours?

Most people don't have what they want because they don't know what they want out of life. Do you? Really?? If you do, good for you. If not, decide right now what you want and focus on getting it. Be specific about what you want and why. Your why will always be the strongest partner for you because your why will drive you to get what you want.

Decide what you want. Stop dabbling your way through life and start to master something. You can't get to 10,000 hours without putting the first hour of work in!

It's Always Been Your Choice

"William Henley said, 'I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul.' Once you believe this (I mean, really believe it,) nothing will hold you back. Something unexplainable happens when we accept complete responsibility for our behavior and our results. But it's not an easy thing to do."~Mac Anderson

Are you the master of your fate? Or are you just letting life happen to you?? Do you believe that you make the choices of the things that happen to you or that you have no choices? Why?  Too many people are stuck in their circumstances and unwilling to realize that they have choices.  They may not be the best choices for right now but they will be the best choice later.  We have lost the idea of delayed gratification in our "want it all now, instant, microwave" society.

Something unexplainable happens when we accept complete responsibility for our behavior and our results. Have you accepted complete responsibility for your behavior and your results? Not an easy thing to do...especially when our society almost demands that we blame something or someone else.  You will either have results or excuses.  Wouldn't you rather have results?

Break away from that crap. Take responsibility for your choices and actions. Know that you always have a choice and that YOU get to make that choice, no one else can make it for you.  It's always been YOUR CHOICE!

What Is Your Next?

"What the caterpillar calls the end of the world the master calls a butterfly." ~Richard Bach

Emerson said that "Few people have an next, they live from hand to mouth without a plan, and are always at the end of their line." Is that you? It doesn't have to be! You can choose right now to have a plan, to put it into action and move forward and see the butterfly!

What is your next?  Are you living hand to mouth without a plan?  Are you always at the end of your rope?  I hate to say this but if you are, it's what you are choosing.  Choose to have a next.  Choose to create a plan.  Choose to climb up that rope to the top!  If you are having trouble seeing how this can happen, message me here and let's talk.

What do you call the end of the world? Is that the extent of what you can see? If so, that's too bad, because for many people, they are destined to lived in that dark, hopeless world, only seeing the bad and never celebrating the good.

Think of the transformation of the caterpillar...He sees its world changing and it going through something, but not really knowing what...Goes to sleep for a while, wakes up and it has WINGS, and is stuck in this sticky place that it must break free of. It struggles and struggles (because there is nothing anyone else can do to help him...might be something to learn there...) and finally breaks FREE!!!

Before, it was limited to crawling along the ground, slowly, with danger all around it...Now, it can FLY! It is free to go wherever it wants to go!!! How could this be reflected in your life?

Start Using Your Sacred Gift

"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift." ~Albert Einstein

We have created a society that honors the servant (the rational mind) and has forgotten the sacred gift (the intuitive mind). Why is that? It makes no sense at all. Einstein also said that "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Because imagination is unlimited while knowledge is limited.

Think about how often you use your sacred gift vs. the time you use your faithful servant. You spend most of your time with the servant, right? Here's a challenge...use your sacred gift for at least 30 minutes each day. Develop that gift and your life and business will become everything you want it to be. It's never too late to become who you were meant to be.

Action:
Work on your sacred gift. Nurture it. Develop it. Master it. Know that you must combine you Sacred Gift with your faithful servant to become all you were meant to become.

Education - Jim Rohn

"Formal education will make you a living, self-education will make you a fortune."~Jim Rohn

We've all had some formal education, but how often are you educating yourself? Really??
Most people will say, 'oh, I learn all the time.' But are you really learning if you're making the same mistakes over and over? Or doing the same thing in your business every day and expecting different results?

What was the last seminar you went to? What was the last book you read? How often are you trying to learn more about your business or do you think that you know everything about your business and you just need to do it?

If you want to become a master at anything, you need to spend 5000 hours working on that thing. Not working IN that thing, but working ON it. If you sell a product, do you kow everything about that product? Really? If you sell a service, do you know every benefit that the service can provide?

Start working ON your business instaed of just in your business.
