Tomorrow Is Promised To No One!

“Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out.” ~Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

Are you getting ready to live? Stop it and LIVE NOW! Before you know it, time runs out...IT'S 2015 ALREADY!!!  Tomorrow is promised to no one, yet we act like we have all the time in the world to do the things we really want to do...and we keep putting them off.  New Years Day 2014 was just like a few month ago!  Time flies and we don't even realize how fast it goes by!

Don't let your time run out with music still in you. Do the things you have always wanted to do. Don't let circumstances dictate that you can't do what you want to do. It is your choice to either do it or stay "getting ready to live."

Robert Orben said "Time flies. It's up to you to be the navigator." See, we are in control of how we spend our days. Here are the numbers. You have 1440 minutes per day and 86,400 seconds per day that melt away, always. Are you investing your time or are you wasting it? It's your choice!

Invest 30 minutes for a huge reward.  To make 2015 everything you want it to be, ask for the "Reflect Back & Plan Forward" worksheet.  I'll be glad to send you one if you email me at david@mentoringyoursuccess.com or text me your email address at 602-577-2624

Stop Wasting Time

"Stop the mindless wishing that things would be different. Rather than wasting time and emotional and spiritual energy in explaining why we don't have what we want, we can start to pursue other ways to get it."~Greg Anderson

Mindless wishing. What a great phrase!! That's what most of us do, Mindless wishing. I ask people about their goals and if they are written down. Sometimes they say, "Oh, I don't need to write them down, I have them in my head. I think about them all the time. Sorry, as Anderson says, that's just Mindless wishing.

Stop wasting time and emotional and spiritual energy in explaining why we don't have what we want. What is past is past and there is no use in creating a story why we didn't reach what we want. The key is to realize that right now, you can start finding other ways to get what you want! There are always more ways to do things that we originally think. Stretch your mind, think new thoughts, create new ways.

Action:
Write down your goals. Write down your goals. Write down your goals. Stop the Mindless wishing and start finding a new way to reach your goals!

Know. Be Known. Make A Difference!

Stop Adding, Take Away!

"Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away." ~Antoine de Saint Exupery

Wow, what a different way to look at things. We are so used to adding more and more things to make it work, but according to Exupery, he says that perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away.

Think about all the things you add to your life and business.  Now think about how much you have taken away.  Are you a hoarder of these things.  Do you keep adding new ideas to your business without ever taking any away?  SQUIRREL!!!  Stop adding new things and start taking things away!

Michelangelo always said that his famous "David" was inside the marble all the time and all he needed to do was take away the excess. What are you adding vs. what can you take away to make things perfect? Think about that, take away the excess and you will be left with the most important stuff. Too often we add and add rather than take away.

Action:
Look at everything that you do. Stop adding to what you do. What can you take away? Look for your perfection in the taking away rather than the adding.

Stop. Look. Listen.

“Just stop it. Seriously. Whatever it is. Just stop it. If only for an hour, a day, a week. Stop doing it long enough to get a glimpse of what the change would actually look like.”- mary anne radmacher

Are you able to stop what you are doing to notice what change would look like or are you so busy with life that you can't or won't...

Change is the only thing that is constant but yet we fight against it with all our might and what happens? Change still happens, but it is the change we didn't want rather than the change that we really wanted.

What would happen if you were to stop long enough to get a glimpse of what that change would mean? Would you be able to make a better decision about the change, would you still want to make the change or would you run to make the change?

If you are not changing, you are stagnating and when you stagnate, you are moving in the wrong direction. We should always move forward or at least when we take 1 step back, we are able to take 2 steps forward.

What needs to change in your life, your business, in you?
Stop doing what it is that you are doing and see what change would look like.
