"It's the Will, Not the Skill."~Jim Tunney
Jim Tunney, former NFL referee wrote a book called: It's the Will Not the Skill. Isn't that the truth? When it comes to achieving significant things in life, the determining factor is almost always the will to achieve.
In any situation where one person's motivation to succeed is is greater than another person with higher skill, but less motivation, the one with the will will be the winner. You see skill is simply latent ability.
Until the will activates it, nothing happens. And having the will causes you to overcome resistance, bounce back from setbacks, rebound from failure and persist till you win.
So don't worry if you don't yet have the skill to do what you desire, the desire alone is enough to get you started. Then as you develop the skill, or connect to the skills of others, you increase your capacity to succeed.
It is the will, not the skill that will get you what you want.
"It's the Will, Not the Skill."
